How female hormone levels affect training and performance in female athlete’s

Dr Jacky Forsyth is a senior lecturer and exercise physiologist at Staffordshire University. Her research interests are in the area of women’s exercise and health, including: osteoporosis, menstrual cycle, and postnatal depression. She is particularly interested in how the female hormones (oestrogen and progesterone) work to improve a woman’s health, fitness and sports performance, and also how exercise can affect a woman’s hormonal status. Jacky is also a volunteer junior club coach.
